An air cooler is a heat exchanger that uses air as a cooling medium to cool a warm stream to a desired temperature. Referred to as air cooler. The principle is that the warm fluid in the pipe passes through the pipe wall and the fins to exchange heat with the air outside the pipe and then reaches the role of cooling and condensation. The air cooler is mainly composed of a regulation, a bracket and a fan. The warm fluid moves inside the tube and the air blows outside the control.

Because the amount of ventilation required for heat exchange is large, the general air volume is not safe, so an axial flow fan is often used. Air coolers can be used for cooling or condensation, and are widely used in: refining, condensation of petrochemical overhead vapors; cooling of various reverberation products of refrigerated dryers; cooling of circulating gases and condensation of turbine exhausts from thermal power plants. It can save a lot of industrial water, reduce environmental pollution and reduce infrastructure costs. Especially in water-deficient areas, replacing cold water with air cooling can alleviate the lack of water supply. However, the power consumption, noise and floor space are large, and the cooling effect is greatly affected by climate change.

Air cooler controls include heat transfer tubes, pipe boxes, side beams, and beams. It can be placed in three basic ways: horizontal, vertical and inclined (herringbone). In the meantime, the horizontal heat transfer area is large, the air distribution is uniform, and the heat transfer effect is good; when the inclined roof is placed, the ventilator is installed in the center of the herringbone, and the floor space is small and the structure is compact.

In order to offset the influence of the lower heat supply coefficient on the air side, a tube with fins on the outer wall of the light pipe is generally selected. As a heat transfer tube, the fin tube can expand the heat transfer area. The finned tubes are placed in layers, and the two ends are connected to the tube box by welding or expansion. The tube is generally 3 to 8 rows. The scale of the control series is up to 12 meters. The outer diameter of the light pipe is usually 25 mm and 38 mm, the fin height is generally 12 to 15 mm, and the control width is 100 to 3000 mm. The finned tube is the central component of the air cooler, and its method and data directly affect the function of the device.
